Kraigg Brathwaite, Windies skipper and Man of the Match, says he wants to thank to the Windies fan for the support. He just wanted to play straight and stick to the basics. Mentions they would love the wickets to provide assistance to the pacers but it was a big effort from them and he is pleased. Adds to okay the knock he did in his hometown was really good and he is very happy. Ends by saying it was a tremendous team effort, Blackwood played really well and he is proud of the fight they showed.

Joe Root, England skipper, says Mahmood and Leach were brilliant, there has not been a lot from the wicket but they have shown a lot of skills and it is great to see the delight on the faces of them when they were picking wickets. States they did not want to make it too close and give a lot of overs, you can look in hindsight and feel they could have declared earlier but credit to the Windies for the way they played. Adds they’ll have to see the kind of wicket they get and then decide what team to play. Further says it is good to see the way Leach is bowling and he is finding his feet at this level.

Then with a lead of around 100, England added quick runs and set a target of over 280. They have themselves around 60 overs to have a go at the Windies but that was never going to be enough on this placid surface to bowl a team out.

In reply, the Windies batted close to six sessions but still fell around 100 short of England's total. However, the important thing was they took a lot of time out of the game which is what they were aiming for. Kraigg Brathwaite and Blackwood were brilliant with tons. The former especially who batted close to 500 balls.

The game though goes down as yet another one dominated by the batters. It was England first who scored above 500 courtesy tons from Stokes and Root.

England on the other hand, did their all though on Day 5! Played with aggression earlier on, scored quickly. Declared with two sessions to go. Got wickets at regular intervals but it just wasn't enough. The wicket just did not play its part. It did not detoriate a lot and was still good for batting. Saqib was really good and so was Leach but in the end, Joshua and Brathwaite showed great resilience to ensure their side did not lose the game.

The two captains have seen shaking hands which means that is the end of the game and it ends in another draw. Credit to both Joshua and Brathwaite. The two joined association with around 15 overs to go, it was a tricky period but the two have fought hard and come out with flying colors. A word of appreciation for Brathwaite who is the difference between Windies heading into the third Test all level and not 1 down. A monumental effort from the skipper and he has led from the front.

ENGLAND HAVE DECLARED! As expected! They have given themselves two sessions weather permitting to take the 10 wickets, whereas Windies will have to chase down 282 to win. Will they go for it? Don’t see that happening.

If we resume on time after break, England would have probably declared and it will/should be Windies batting. A good second session awaits. The post-Lunch session should start at 10.53 pm IST (5.23 pm GMT) unless the raingods have some other plans.

And we assume we won’t be seeing England bat again in this game after the break! They lead by 281 and that should probably be enough. They came out all guns blazing and all the batters went after the bowlers right from the word go. A few played some handy cameos to take the lead up to 19 short of 300.

PITCH REPORT - Sir Curtly Ambrose reckons that it's a very dry surface. There will be variable bounce from time to time and he expects the pitch to play the same way.

Jonny Bairstow is up for a chat. He says that the attitiude that the guys showed was great. Mentions that they need to dig deep again if they have to force a result today. Tells that the further they go, there's more pressure to accelerate or for them to bat out for a draw. Informs that some balls have kept low, the way Jack Leach bowled, he was unlucky. Tells that when they come to bowl today, it'll be interesting. Informs that they will bat normally in the first half an hour.

Veerasammy Permaul is up for a chat. He says that it's not a wicket where you can go and blast as a batsman, you need to be patient. Mentions that the faster you bowl, it becomes easier. Tells that one got to bowl slower. States that in T20 cricket, he has opened with the white ball so it's not a new role for him to open with the red cherry as well.

Windies on the other hand, need wickets and in a heap. That is the only slender hope they have of a win. We have seen this England batting fall apart before and the hosts will hope it is one of those days. The first session will probably give us an idea as to which way is this game heading to.

Hello and welcome to the coverage of the last day of the second Test between Windies and England. The draw seems the most likeliest result as of now but we have seen funny things in happen in cricket and something tells me, we could be in for a surprise here. England probably are the side with a bigger chance of a win if there’s a result. They’ll though need to score quickly int he first session, we may also see Root make a brave declaration to force a result. He would want his bowlers to get at least 2 sessions to take 10 Windies wickets. It will be interesting to see if the wicket has depreciated, it needs to if there’s going to be a result.

A maiden for Holder! A bit of swing, on off. Alex Lees keeps it out.

Now a draw seems the most likeliest result. Unless we witness something special. England will probably hope to score some quick runs and then give themselves at least two sessions to have a crack at the Windies batting line-up. End of yet another dull day of cricket! The game needed to move on quickly if a result was needed but that was not the case. The Windies batted at their own pace and they batted for more than two sessions before being bundled out. England had around 15 overs to bat, they already had a lead of just under 100, they did play with a little intent but Root would have loved the two openers to go at a much better pace.

The umpires will be checking the light with the light metre. It has grown darker in the last few minutes. It is too dark for pace and Kraigg Brathwaite suggested to one of the umpires that they were going to bowl pace. So, the umpires have decided to call it STUMPS.

England now have around 15 overs to bat today and we probably will see them get their ODI mode out. Windies on the other hand, will probably look for a few wickets. It has been quite a dull day so far but we can well be in for some entertainment in the last hour or so.

Credit to the England bowlers, despite for being out there for so long, the energy levels just never went down. There was nothing on offer for them from the wicket but they still kept trying. Each of their bowlers had good economy rates to show for as they were very disciplined. Stokes though was the one who was causing a lot of problems. He was relentless with his lines and length. Leach did well too. Saqib and Fisher showed a lot of promise. Woakes will be happy with the lines and lengths he bowled and he got success as well. Jack Leach also became the first England bowler to bowl 69-plus overs in the first innings of a Test match since 1992 and fittingly ended the West Indies' innings. England in the end will be relieved and pleased they have managed to bowl out the hosts.

Finally, West Indies’ marathon innings comes to an end! They will be pleased with their effort as they have given themselves a chance of saving this Test now. This innings for them was about their skipper and their vice captain. Apart from the two, nobody really had a significant contribution. It was the 183 run stand between the two which bailed the Windies out of trouble. Both scored tons and led from the front for their side. Had there been more from the rest, Windies might have just taken the lead.

OUT! CAUGHT! What a joyous occasion for Saqib Mahmood as he picks up his maiden Test wicket and it has come right after the break for England. Saqib Mahmood bowls this little short this time, on middle. Jason Holder looks to heave it away but miscues it high up in the air towards the mid on region. Matthew Fisher there waits and waits, settles himself under the skier and pouches it with both the hands. A really good catch by him and Saqib Mahmood is pumped up. Spectacular catch from Matthew Fisher and England just wicket away from getting into the tail enders.

Update - 10.47 pm IST (5.17 pm GMT) - The covers have been removed but it is still very gloomy. The third umpire is out in the middle inspecting conditions. The play should resume soon.

Update - 10.38 pm IST (5.08 pm GMT) - The live pictures from the ground shows us that the rain is back and sprinkling. The covers are on as well. We will have a delayed start. Not the best of news to start the new session. Let's hope it's another passing shower and we get the action soon. Fingers crossed.

... DAY 4, SESSION 2 ...

England on the other hand, continued to toil hard! The wicket seemed to have flatten even more as there was absolutely nothing in it for the bowlers. They though did manage to keep it tight but wickets is what they were looking for and they got just the one on the bowling of Stokes who probably was the pick of the bowlers in this session. They will need to continue to be patient and hope there is some sort of a collapse. At present we really do not see that happening. Stay tuned for another important session which will begin at 10.40 pm IST (5.10 pm GMT).

That is a solid session for the Windies! We said the first session could well dictate as to which was this game is going and for now, it seems like it is heading towards a draw. The hosts lost just the one wicket and have got the deficit down to just around 150. Both Joseph and Brathwaite showed great resistance early on and added above 50 before Joseph fell. Holder then has showed good solidness to hang in there with Brathwaite. More of the same is what they would want after the break.
