Rajinder Singh Rana is an MLA from the Sujanpur constituency of Himachal Pradesh. He has been in mainstream politics since 2012 when he was first elected as MLA. Born on April 6, 1966, Singh is a businessman. Earlier, he was with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and remained the media in charge and spokesperson from 2006 to 2012. He also chaired Himachal Pradesh State Media Advisory Committee during 2008-09. At present, he is nominated as a member of the Estimates and Library & Member Amenities Committees. In 2017, he defeated BJP's CM candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal by 1,919 votes.
