Harshwardhan Chauhan is a politician belonging to the Indian National Congress (INC) and is currently serving as an MLA from the Shillai constituency from where the Congress is fielding him in the upcoming election as well. He has served as an MLA for five non-consecutive terms between 1993 and 2012 and again since 2017. He was born on September 14, 1964, at Nahan in Himachal Pradesh to Guman Singh Chauhan, a former minister of the Himachal Pradesh government. He completed his school education at St Edward's School, Shimla and graduated with a BA and LLB from Himachal Pradesh University.
