Kandhalbhai Sarmanbhai Jadeja, better known as 'Bhai', was an MLA in the Gujarat Assembly from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). In 2017, Jadeja defeated BJP's Lakhamanbhai Bhimabhai Odedra by over 23,000 votes in Kutiyana. In 2012, Jadeja won the election for the first time from the Kutiyana constituency when he defeated BJP's Karshanbhai Dulabhai Odedra by over 18,000 votes. He is the son of Santokben Jadeja who was popularly known as 'Godmother'. His mother also represented the seat once from 1990 to 1995. Jadeja left the NCP after he was denied a ticket by the party for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly Election. He is again contesting the election from the Kutiyana seat from the Samajwadi Party (SP) this time. He has been pitted against BJP's Dheliben Maldebhai Odedara, Congress candidate Nathabhai Bhurabhai Odedara and AAP's Bhimabhai Danabhai Makwana.
