BJP | Khatima Lost
Pushkar Singh Dhami is the current Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. At the age of 45, he became Uttarakhand's youngest Chief Minister after the unceremonious exit of Tirath Singh Rawat. Dhami, a two-term MLA from Udham Singh Nagar's Khatima constituency, volunteered for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at a young age. Later, he also served as the state head of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Uttarakhand from 2002 to 2008. Also, when Bhagat Singh Koshiyari was the Chief Minister in 2001-2002, Dhami was his Officer on Special Duty (OSD). In the 2017 Uttarakhand Assembly polls, he won the Khatima constituency by defeating Congress candidate Bhuwan Chandra Kapri with over 2,700 votes.
